Tampa is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Tampa is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I learned a lot about plants. I even ate some straight off the tree and out the ground.

Abundant garden and beautiful farm!! They also have sweet little chickens and chicks 🐥🐣 They have a tour where you can sample different plants as you walk through the farm. The Sweetwater Cafe is super cute and the chai tea latte was delicious 😋

Pepin Academies 4th grade class went on a field trip here today. They had so much fun! We learned alot about what plants need to grow and survive in Florida. We also learned when to grow certain types of plants and flowers, water conservation, and the role chickens play on a farm.

We had the most wonderful experience at Sweetwater Farms during our recent class field trip! From the moment we arrived, the entire team was incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming to our students. Everything was thoughtfully organized, well-paced, and clearly designed with children in mind, which made the day smooth and enjoyable for both the students and teachers. You could truly feel how much care and heart they put into creating a meaningful experience. Our students had so much fun while also learning, and it was one of the highlights of our school year. We are so grateful and can’t wait to come back again!
